A pair of mittens hand-crocheted from mixed and gleaned wool yarns.
The ends of tangled balls of various recovered yarns inspired me to make this upcycled creation .
These mittens are slightly stretchy, since they are hand-crocheted with interlocking "scale" stitches. They are unique but reproducible in other colors, with other materials, within the limits of the threads available in the workshop.
Crocheted with great care and love, their artisanal production required a little over four hours of work.
By alternating the colors on a well-paced score, I was able to create this pattern of small regular diamonds in a spirit of "coloring", naive and applied.
And the magic of the gesture came to do the rest...
