A straight and elegant "tailored" skirt , slit at the back. On the front an artisanal Bazin Tie & Dye from Mali, on the sides damask silk from an old curtain, and on the back an artisanal cotton loincloth hand-woven in Burkina Faso.
It is by composing this range of fabrics with flamboyant patterns and warm colors that the designer was inspired to create this unique piece. Before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her studio, Julie spent years collecting and studying the fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.
The cut of the model is rather classic, with the high waist. It can easily be worn with a crop top or a wrap top from the collection.
Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece, entirely handmade , required seven hours of work, from the research of the fabrics through the composition of the patchwork to the manufacturing stages.
