"Sky Pea Patchwork" Vest

This patchwork vest brings together wax cotton fabrics with fluorescent patterns, vintage cotton with printed patterns, polyester voile with small dots lined with cotton, and an old upcycled damask curtain.

The timelessness of this model brings out all the richness and beauty of its fabrics .

It is by composing the range of colors and fabrics that I found the inspiration to imagine this unique piece. I started by arranging all the available pieces following my intuition to achieve this graphic textile composition.

Next, I cut out the vest panels to enhance the patchwork patterns I had just created.

Made entirely by hand in Brussels, from the most beautiful fabric scraps from my workshop, This creation required precision work at every stage: for the drawing, the composition, the cutting, right up to the different stages of assembly and finishing.

You can close this vest on the front with a row of vintage mother- of-pearl buttons that I have patiently collected over time.

This unique piece with exceptional fabrics authentically reflects my approach to promoting textile know-how and upcycling materials.

Before having the honor of working with these beautiful fabrics, I spent years collecting them and studying the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles from all walks of life is at the heart of my creative process.
