A mid-length pencil skirt with a back slit, made from fabulous handcrafted and upcycled textiles: a Faso danfani in cotton and lurex handwoven in Burkina Faso, reversible multi-colored sequins, and silver faux leather.
It was while composing the fabric range that she found the inspiration to create this unique piece. And before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her studio, Julie spent years collecting and studying fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.
The cut of the model is rather fitted and close to the body, which has the effect of elongating the silhouette and highlighting the curves of the body. Its pretty slit at the back allows you to walk and move freely. It can easily be worn with a crop top or a wrap top from the collection, flat sandals or high heels.
Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece, entirely handmade , required four hours of work, from the search for fabrics through the composition of the patchwork to the stages of production.
