“Broken Tiles” Tambourin Bag Black and yellow

A tambourine model handbag , practical and elegant, where the vestiges of my old projects can be found, pretty scraps of fabric gathered in a kaleidoscopic patchwork.

Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece was entirely handmade . Made in collaboration with Emmanuel Zagre, a great craftsman tailor from Ouagadougou, it is a co-creation produced between Belgium and Burkina Faso.

We made our first collections of "four hands" accessories in Ouagadougou, in 2018 and 2019 and the adventure was able to continue on WhatsApp for our latest achievements.

For these tambourine bags , I first made the patchworks in Brussels, from scraps from Faso dan fani, artisanal cotton weaving from Burkina Faso . In a second step, the patchworks were cut into circles, mounted and sewn in Ouagadougou by Emmanuel.

Its name " broken tiles " refers to the "mosaic" tiles that cover the surfaces of certain terraces and floors of houses in West Africa, and which are made from the remains of broken tiles.

Our creations carry with them the quality of our exchanges and our passion for a job well done. Our professional partnership consists in associating our technical know-how with complementarity. We work our fabrics with respect and awareness, down to the last piece available, with a view to recycling and reducing waste .
