"Between Dog and Wolf" Crop Top

One-of-a-kind piece - Handmade in Brussels

A perfectly symmetrical crop top made from a patchwork of printed fabrics. The fabric in the center is a synthetic material printed with a photo of an animal that probably existed in real life. I took the liberty of placing it there on the front of this creation without asking it. Told like that, I admit it sounds a little strange, so I'm going to tell you a little more about my approach as an upcycling designer!

The art of upcycling:

I spend my life collecting fabrics of all kinds, materials and patterns from all cultures that I assemble to make them tell new stories through my clothing creations. Sometimes I come across incredible vintage textiles, superb qualities that are becoming increasingly rare, fabrics "like they no longer make in our time". Other times I go to meet textile artisans with exceptional know-how. This time I don't go far and find myself face to face with this improbable print that I happily decide to include at the center of my textile composition.

Patchwork Identities:

I'm interested in all fabrics; I believe they all have incredible regenerative potential and that beauty can emerge from unexpected places. Let's continue to create with what's there.

A simple and versatile model:

The cut of this crop top is perfectly symmetrical, front = back to be able to change mood without changing shirts, flared with "bat" type armholes, without darts at the chest. Its neckline is not very low, just above the collarbones. It is very easy to wear with simple jeans or shorts from the collection.

Crafted with great care and finesse, this unique, upcycled piece was entirely handmade in Brussels.
