A wrap skirt that wraps around the waist. A meeting between a woven loincloth from Burkina Faso, an artisanal ikat cotton from Uzbekistan , an artisanal ikat silk from Thailand and cotton printed with vintage patterns.

It is by composing this range of fabrics that the designer was inspired to create this unique piece. Before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her studio, Julie spent years collecting and studying the fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.

The cut of the model is designed to adapt to your body up to size 48 or 4 XL. Worn high or low waisted, this skirt ties at the waist with a bias ribbon. Its four meters of gathered frill give it a nice shape and a nice movement. It's a real skirt that "turns"!

Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece , entirely hand-made , required eight hours of work, from researching the fabrics through the composition of the patchwork to the manufacturing stages.

Artisanal and upcycled textiles:

  • “Faso danfani”, artisanal weaving from Burkina Faso in cotton.
  • Handmade silk ikat from Thailand.
  • Vintage patterned printed cotton voile.
  • Hand woven and dyed Uzbek Ikat cotton.
  • Belt: vintage printed cotton with 70s floral patterns
