“Green silk, copper” wrap skirt

A wraparound skirt that wraps around the waist. A blend of vintage geometric-patterned silk, artisanal tie-dye bazin from Mali, small floral-printed cotton from the 1960s and 1970s, and a sample of screen printing on fabric I created during my textile design studies!

It was while composing this range of fabrics and colors that I was inspired to create this unique piece. Before having the honor of reworking these beautiful fabrics in his workshop, I spent years collecting and studying fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of my creative process.

The cut of the model is designed to fit your body up to size 48 or 4 XL. Worn high or low, this skirt ties at the waist with a copper-colored bias ribbon. Its four meters of gathered ruffles give it a pretty shape and beautiful movement. It's a real skirt that "twirls"!

Crafted with great care and finesse, this unique piece , entirely handmade , required eight hours of work, from the search for fabrics through the composition of the patchwork to the stages of production.
