Patchwork Denim Straight Pants

Straight pants, in patchwork of denim cotton and other vintage fabrics.

A superb pair of high-waisted trousers, a unique textile composition, all in shades of denim blue, from the most indigo to light grey (like the clouds of Belgium all year round).

Made up of different upcycled jeans, it was while creating the patchwork that I wanted to offer you these straight, chic, graphic and elegant pants.

I hope it fits you like a glove!

I arranged the diamonds into spikes to highlight the materials and cut of the garment.

Initially, my creation is a textile composition that revalues ​​collected materials. I cut and assembled different diamonds, taking care to intersperse the different tones of blue , indigo and blue-grey according to a symmetrical pattern and a very precise rhythm, until I obtained the desired pattern.

Then, I sewed all the diamonds together, with great precision for a better graphic rendering, and so that it really catches your eye!

Made entirely by hand in my workshop in Brussels, this creation took me two days of concentration: from the composition drawing, through the cutting, the different assembly stages to the finishing touches.

This unique piece authentically reflects my approach to promoting textile know-how and upcycling different materials.

Denim is a material that particularly interests me for its casual, timeless, hard-wearing side, and for its blue which develops a patina over time...

By reworking it, I associated other indigo and really interesting fabrics: artisanal Tie & Dye cotton from Mali, coming from an old damaged loincloth but with some beautiful remains, I was able to extract some beautiful pieces to insert them into this composition.

Before I had the honor of working with these beautiful fabrics, I spent years collecting and studying them for the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles from all walks of life is at the heart of my creative process.
