"Neon" Wrap

A "mini kimono" wrap top in fluorescent orange-pink jersey knit with vintage cotton borders from the 60s-70s lined with cotton printed with cat motifs.

It was by creating the range of multicolored fabrics that Julie was inspired to create this unique piece . Before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her studio, the designer spent years collecting and studying the fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.

The patterned print that was used for the waistband, cuffs and neckline comes from a vintage fabric swatch from the 60s-70s

The belt lining , cuffs and collar is a printed cotton with cat patterns.

Fluorescent knitting has a particular color between pink and orange, it is a reused material from the second-hand circuit. It gives this wrap-over a rather supple fall , while the wide cotton borders that frame it give it a certain hold and a more structured appearance. The edges of the cuffs are perfectly finished and can therefore be rolled up, revealing the little cats inside.

This crossover can be worn in three different ways:

1. crossed tightly under the bust and tied above the waist
2. crossed leaving the neckline more indented and tied a little lower
3. the sections of the belt tied at the front like a vest to wear over a long dress for example.

Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece, entirely handmade, required six hours of cutting and sewing.
