This two-sided scarf is very pleasant to wear, as well as to look at . The meeting between a patchwork of vintage and artisanal fabrics and an upcycled hand-crocheted woolen work. A versatile scarf with a mixed design, which can be worn on both sides.
On the most contrasting side, the patchwork was made from several scraps of vintage printed and artisanal fabrics such as ikat from Uzbekistan, Faso danfani from Burkina Faso, Royal Thai silk ikat and Bazin from mali. This creation required long hours of composition and assembly work to achieve this unique and authentic result.
The realization of this piece made me upcycle a wool piece crocheted by hand with fabric scraps from my old collections. And beauty arrived in the middle of this unique assembly, fundamentally connected to my approach of upcycling and inter-cultural creations.
Made with great care and love, this scarf was entirely handmade and made in Brussels, in my workshop.
