"Red and Green Patchwork" Vest

This patchwork vest is very refined and detailed. It is made of an assembly of different fabrics: vintage printed cotton, artisanal ikat from Uzbekistan and "Faso dan fani" an artisanal loincloth of cotton and lurex dyed and woven by hand in Burkina Faso.

• Made in Brussels, from the finest scraps of fabric from our workshop, this unique waistcoat closes at the front with a row of different vintage wooden buttons that have been patiently collected over the years.

It is by composing this range of fabrics that the designer was inspired to create this unique piece. Before having had the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her workshop, Julie spent years collecting and studying the fabrics to sublimate the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.

This unique piece reflects an authentic approach of upcycling (or overcycling) which also promotes artisanal textile know-how and creates bridges between cultures.

Made with great care and finesse, this cardigan was entirely handmade by the designer and her team in Brussels.
