“Beetle” Tailored Skirt

A straight and elegant "tailored" skirt , slit at the back. On the front, a changing lurex weaving from an end of stock of luxury ready-to-wear houses, on the sides the Indian embroideries with mirrors encrusted with an upcycled wall-hanging, on the back a weaving in strips handcrafted and vintage from West Africa.

It is by composing this range of rich and luminous fabrics that the designer was inspired to create this unique piece. Before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in her studio, Julie spent years collecting and studying the fabrics and the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of her creative process.

The cut of the model is rather classic, with the high waist. It can easily be worn with a crop top or a wrap top from the collection.

Made with great care and finesse, this unique piece, entirely handmade , required seven hours of work, from researching the fabrics, through the composition of the patchwork to the manufacturing stages.
