“Patchwork Denim” Bomber Jacket

Bomber Jacket - Unique creation handmade in Brussels.

A one-of-a-kind jacket, designed for grown-ups who love beautiful, well-made clothes and remixed fictional adventures.

Super well made and full of small, careful details, my latest textile composition has taken shape in this reversible jacket made from a patchwork of upcycled jeans.

Vintage prints and upcycled materials:

To make you wear this bomber jacket in a good mood, I called on an imaginary team of stuntmen of all colors who helped me double this performance!

And that's precisely how we took action by cutting out a vintage pillowcase, printed with Power Rangers, from 1994.

This jacket will not protect us from evil forces, and it will not save the planet from the overproduction of useless things... But it is still completely honest, because it was made by myself, a consenting, autonomous and independent adult artist, in correct and respectful conditions :)

I made it by combining fabric scraps from my workshop, upcycled denim cotton with the best pieces of your old rescued jeans.

From all this material fragmented into shades of blue, I have done my best to recreate a harmonious whole for you.

Its superpower is to improve what came before it (for example, the pile of fabrics waiting to be transformed in my studio), or simply to exist, leaving you room to do the same.

The Art of Upcycling:

This bomber jacket is a unique textile composition, a patchwork of shades and textures that I created for you from different materials, cotton and suede that I reworked myself to modify its appearance. So I quilted the bib, shoulders and pockets, for more relief, texture and consistency.

If you are also sensitive to touch, the variations in relief will make you happy!

Reversible with superb finishes:

This jacket is fully reversible also because it is impeccably finished.

I cut a lining for it in a vintage printed cotton , a high quality fabric (or printed derivative product) on which appear the heroes of an old TV series <3 ... And as this superb fabric did not sufficiently cover all the desired surface, I completed with the flower patterns from another era and another world, which we will perhaps need to build the next one!

To give you a better drape and a fairly structured look, I framed this lining with a facing made of thicker fabric. It is when you put it on that you will feel all the pleasure and benefits instilled in the subtle details of the making of this unique creation.

In any case, I hope you will enjoy this bomber jacket, which is as beautiful to look at as it is pleasant to wear.

My artistic approach:

It was first by composing with fabrics that I was inspired to create this unique bomber jacket. And before having the honor of reworking these superb fabrics in my workshop, I spent years collecting and studying them to enhance the stories they tell. This deep interest in combining textiles of all kinds is at the heart of my creative process.

This unique piece with exceptional fabrics authentically reflects my upcycling approach , which also promotes artisanal textile know-how and creates bridges between cultures.

Made with great care and finesse , this unique piece, entirely handmade in Brussels, took four days of work for the research, creation of the patchworks, the cutting, the textile composition, the assembly and finishing stages of sewing.
